From what I can determine from looking at your HJT log (and I'm no expert with those), you have two antivirus programs running full time, Avast and McAfee.

There's nothing wrong with having two installed but having two running full time, scanning every file every time it's accessed not only slows things down (sometimes to a crawl) but also they can start duking it out for priority.

Then if both decide to update at the same time you could be in real trouble. ;)

As you add files and programs after a clean install, they have more to scan on each boot which could explain the ever-increasing boot times.

So, disable either Avast or McAfee's full-time protection and see if things improve.

Thanks for the Advise Miz.. I just got rid of Avast Antivirus all together and the system is booting fine now. The pc was butting up slow even before I added Mcafee antivirus.. So It looks like it was Avast the whole time.. :(

You really can't blame Avast since just about any AV program that is set to scan the entire drive at boot will drag the processor down for an extended time. I found AVG7 was set that way by default and I noticed it right from the start, things were bogging down. I untagged that option and things have been smooth ever since. I can't really blame them for setting it that way since some folks need that kind of default help.

With The Avast I had it shut down in the Msconfig settings and also had it shut down in the main settings not to do a boot scan unless i wanted it to..

Glad to hear you got it sorted out, jimbo.

Have two anti-virus programs installed isn't a bad idea since no AV program is effective 100% of the time with 100% of the viruses out there.

If you've kept Avast installed but inactive, don't forget to keep it updated. If you ever need it for a "second opinion" scan, you may not be able to get online to get it up to date.
