Slipstream SP# and the the AMD Patch into an XP setup disk?

I guess almost everyone is familiar with the fact that if one downloads SP3 and then runs the SP3 installation on a system with an AMD processor, you'll fry your OS. There is an AMD patch that should be run before running SP3 that prevents this.

Is there a way to slipstream SP3 and the AMD patch into an XP setup disk?

 

Not everyone, I run a slipstreamed SP3 on 2 AMD machines XP Pro and have not used any AMD patches and have not frayed any of my CPU's, in fact they are running very cool.
But yes I can not see why not, I have the SATA Raid drivers slipsteamed into that as well.
(I only fry eggs and bacon)

Careful there Alex - that's a little loose with the facts. I believe the issue had to do with HP using an image from an Intel setup to build their AMD operating systems in production mode. This (SP3) did not have an adverse effect on most AMD machines. You can research it further and let us all know what your findings are.

Problem solved. I had followed instructions for slipstreaming and I was still having a problem symptomatic of what I cited in the OP on this AMD system.

I finally found I had a bad processor. I replaced the processor and all now works well.
