I am slipstreaming a new bootable CD. I have the original XP Pro CD & an ISO of same, the 'Network Installation' of SP1 and boot files.

    My questions:
    • My ISO already will create a bootable CD, so will I still need the bootfiles in the slipstream?
    • Is SP1a worthwhile? Skip it for now, use SP1 and wait for next SP?
    And most important:
    • How do I slipstream the folder of updates post SP-1?

    Hi, Pete ~

Thanks for straightening me out on the SP1a. :)

Do I need to extract the boot files from the CD using ISO buster since they already exist on my ISO of XP?

I thought Nero can extract the bootfiles anyway?

Anyone (you know who a really mean) had experience slipstreaming the hotfixes into a bootable??

    Hi Bruce,

Can't help you re. your ISO of XP - I slipstreamed my XP Pro Upgrade CD with SP 1 only the other day - following Arie's article. No problem using ISO Buster works fine :) as does the slipstreamed CD.

That's the limit of my knowledge/experience in this area :D
