Trying to create a cd of XP Pro "with" SP2 through slipstreaming. Using original cd from Microsoft. Cannot get past C:\XP-SP2\i386\Update\Update.exe -S:C:\XP command, three times. Three different webpage instructions. Have correct all directories with all files. All files are where they are supposed to be.

I receive the error: "Failed to copy some or all of the files necessary for integrated install. Please check that: a)No network or copy errors occurred during the integration process. b)The format of the destination directory is correct. The files to be integrated must reside in an i386 and/or ia64 or nec98 directory (i.e. for an i386 share, if you typed "update /s:c:\cdshare ", the files must be in the c:\cdshare\i386 directory).

I have triple checked all of the above. Have enough hard drive space!

I use this guide to slipstream SP2.

    http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sp2_slipstream.asp

Also it may help to show all hidden files/folders including system files.

Double click My Computer. In Windows Explorer select Tools then Internet Options. Under Hidden files and folders check Show hidden files and folders and uncheck Hide protected operating system files.

    Hi, Suzette. :)

You may also want to take a look at slipstreaming suggestions in this linked thread.
