I have a quick question about how I can figure out what program is waking up my computer when I put it in sleep mode?

Its worked fine until recently and its mostly overnight hours where it will wake itself up naturally from sleep mode. I THINK I have most of my programs set to update during normal hours, but is there any way to view a list of everything my programs are doing at certain times?

I know this is a dumb question, but a bright computer screen at 2AM is not a fun thing.

To find out what event/device woke up your Windows from its sleep state, go to command prompt (type cmd on the Start menu Search box and press [Enter]), then type: powercfg -lastwake

This shows which devices are set to wake up your system: powercfg -devicequery wake_armed

That did it. I guess when Windows Media Center was being used as my extender, it took it upon itself to pick midnight as it's update time. And since I never physically open it, it never occured to me to check that program for the issue. Thanks!
