I've always set Folder Options in my old XP to a single mouse click to open desktop folders and I was always able to drag desktop icons to rearrange them without forcing the icon to open.

Now in Win7, the single mouse click is so sensitive that half the time a quick click just to arrange an icon forces it to open.

Is there any way to adjust the single mouse click so it's not so sensitive?

(I know the right mouse click has an option to copy/move icons but it's a pain if you want to move a lot of icons)

You could try the ClickLock in Control Panel/Mouse/Buttons I have always used the single click since 98 and never had your problem. Maybe you have a faulty mouse???
