I recently bought a new computer running XP Pro.
I need a question answered about what is the best thing to do when I am not using the computer.
    1-Just leave it run
    2-Shut it down
    3-Put it in Standby mode
    Thank you,
    Paul

I think this is just a personal opinion. But I leave all my systems on except for my laptops, I put them in sleep mode when I close the cover except when they are docked in their docking stations. One of my systems operates as a DNS server/ firewall, network packet scanner for my home network, so it must always be on.

    Hi Paul,
I agree with Bursley,it's up to you!I usually leave mine on unless there is a need to reboot, it seems to run just as well either way.I just run disc cleanup etc regularly to stop any build up of junk.
    regards:)
