    Hello all,
I know its possible in Win9x/ME, and XP, but is it possible in 2K to use a batch command to restart the operating system?

We have a public kiosk in our lobby and we'd like it to restart every 6 hours, which can be done via task scheduler. Problem is, I don't know what command to put in the batch file for the automatic restart.

    Specs:
    Windows 2000 Professional w/ SP4
    64.0MB RAM.

Public kiosk for internet, runs kiosk program. Needs to restart every 6 hours and on restart the program sweeps the URL history, etc.

EDIT: JoeHobart's suggestion of PsShutdown sounds much better...Kent

    Hi quackbal...

I think the command for the batch file would be, using the following MS link for info => http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;317371&sd=tech, shutdown /l /t:21600 /y /c
It sounds like you will need the Win2000 Resource kit to get the "Shutdown.exe" tool.

I have got it from XP, and it runs fine.

    Thank you, everyone.
