I just need some help getting the 'Show desktop' icon back on the taskbar at work. It was there. Not sure what happened to it. I have a Windows 98 SE at home so I'm not as familiar with XP's setup. Thanks.

Place a copy of Show Desktop.scf in the quick launch folder for your user account.

    Hello Alicia J,

Its nested in the Documents and settiings folders:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Admin (account)\Applications Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick launch

Right click on it and create a shortcut - drag and drop the shortcut next to the start button.

    Regards - Charles

    Two other options:

    1) Right-click anywhere on the Taskbar (except on a button) and select Show the Desktop from the context menu.

    2) Press the Windows key + D. Pressing it again will return you to the window you were in.

Thanks for your replies. I'll give it a try and post back if needed.
