I am very new to Windows Vista and still learning (every time I use it I seem to learn something different the last thing where a users documents are stored by default ie. C:/Users/Documents not in Documents and Settings) - so much to learn.

I am the only user of my Notebook PC and wonder if there is any danger in always using the Notebook logged in as Administrator?

Also when installing software should I do that from the Administrators account or a non administrator account and if so how do I set up shortcuts on the non administrator when the installation does not ask 'is this for all users?' (by searching for the software in C:/Program Files/application/executable and dragging it onto the desktop and create a shortcut?

Lastly does anyone know anything about the Lenova application "Client Security Solution'? I have tried to work out exactly what it does and if I should select NOT to install it as I use a firewall, avg anti-virus and also Malwares Anti Malware.

    Thanks

    The short answer is NO.

Create a limited user & always login to that account. Installing programs in limited user login is now no longer a big deal. Windows Vista/7 would prompt you for Administrator password when the need arises.
