I may have this posted in the wrong Topic, if so please pardon me.

I have some programs that run in Shockwave. In the past they have done just fine. I have them on a CD. At the present when I try to run one, a window appears that indicates that I don't have the Shockwave Player installed and that is needs that to run. I do have it installed. The windows states after saying I don't have it, "do you want to download it?" I did download it successfully, restarted my PC and again the same appears when I try to run any program that requires Shockwave.

This is a new problem. I don't know what to do to correct this. I have copied the program to the desktop and tried to run some of them from there. I get the same reminder

Will someone offer a suggestion for a solution to this. Please notice my expertise level if you have some technical information to provide.

I found out that I don't have the problem I thought I did. Some of the programs play just fine, others don't. Suppose the one's that don't are corrupt.

Thanks for the opportunity to post.
