Here is the problem Maybe someone can help. Seems it should be simple. I have a peer to peer network - two Windows 98's and one windows XP computer (the main one - printers attached). One of the printers is a trusty old HP LaserJetIII that I want to share. Windows XP asks for the Windows 98 driver for this printer. The problem - - though I know it is already installed on the 98's (probably in the Windows\Inf subdirectory (hundreds of *.inf files there) and is also on the Windows 98 install disk - but how to find it??? Any suggestions?

Incidentally, at the HP site they only have special drivers for download for this printer - (AutoCad and the like).

Go Here to get the latest drivers.

You didn't find them when searching for LJIII drivers since they are multi-printer drivers which are for many printers including yours.
