    Hi members

There are 2 PC with Home Win7.32 bit. SP1 both in a named WorkGroup.

Both PC has a folder shared. The sharing is done by hitting the properties of the folder, followed by

    1. At Sharing Tab > Advanced Option, share the folder for Everyone give it full permission.
    2. Also at the Security Tab > Advanced > Change Permissions add Everyone with full rights.

One PC can be assessed by all other XP.Win-PCs in the WorkGroup while the other require log in with userName and password.

I think i just found the cause, one of the Win7 is actually Home Premium while the other is not. Home Premium like xpProf requires User & Password.

Correct me if i got it wrong. For sharing i leave this thread on.

Is there any difference between the users? Is one an administrator, the other not?

For the user that requires a password, if that user logs onto the computer (asking for the password) as an administrator (make a new user with the same username & password), they should then be recognised as an administrator across the network (I expect :)).

    Thanks Matt

1st thing, I made a MISTAKE, both PC are running win7 Home Premium.

    Will answer yr question later.

    PS
One PC have users with their respective password while the other don't. Hence the former, access to it requires username and its password. This is tested and confirmed.
