    Hi All,

Trying to connect to my 2nd PC's shared Printer but not sure whats going on.
The printer on the other PC is connected to the usb port and is shared out. In the properties of the printer It show the port: usb001
the Description: Virtual Printer Port for USB and
    printer Name:DJ840C

How do I connect to it from my pc....It does not have an IP address...

Both PC's are running XP Professional SP2.

Please help if you can. Thanks...

    JJ

Start by reading the file and print section of this article on the Microsoft site..

The printer doesn't need it's own IP address. Effectively the printer resource is part of the computer the printer is connected to. So all you need is to ensure that that computer has an IP address. Network users will connect to that computer and use the printer resource via that connection.
