I have met old and new Firefoxes did not completely exit, especially when one did not x it out. (i.e. Chose "x Close" from the bar @ bottom.)

    I have been killing its process by doing |Windows Task Manager(process tab)| > |(highlight)Firefox.exe| > |End Process| > |Yes|.
    .
    .
    .
Are there any other ways to cope with this?

    What locks them in?

Hi Kid, I understand that english may not be your 1st language, do you mean the x on the bar at the top? I'm only asking because you may have an addon that has this option at the bottom.

Chances are it's a rogue addon, have you tried starting firefox in safemode? If so does the problem still occur?
