Ok I am trying to figure out a problem. The network that I am working on has an exchange service. The problem is on of the client computers the exchange service was deleted in outlook. I went to replace the service on the client computer and it tells me that the user name was not resolved (underlined). I don't know what I am doing wrong the setup is the same as it was. Is there something I have to do server side to allow this user back into the exchange service. Note they were not deleted server side. I hope I am explaining this the best I can. Help would be much appeciated.

When you were adding Exchange to Outlook was it able to resolve the exchange server?

Try adding by IP address. If that works it's a DNS issue.

I should know something tomorrow but I dont think so. The other computers on the network are connected to it just fine. I am trying to help these customers of mine out without them calling the original administrator who charges them 55$ per hour. This network is jacked up and I am slowly trying to reconfigure this network out but I run into issues like this. I dont quite understand the exchange service but I dont think I am not cabable of fixing this problem. If it is a DNS prob then how are the other computers using it?

55.00 is too cheap. No wonder it's mucked up. ;)

Check to see what the client computer has in ipconfig /all
Make sure the Server is the first DNS address..

If I was a betting man I would say the computers working correctly have a static IP because the previous admin didn't know how to configure DHCP. ;)

I think you are right which seems to make alot more sense now. I have added some computers to the network just fine with DHCP but now that you mention it I think you are right. I will let you know tomorrow. Thanks for the insight. I cant believe that didn't even cross my mind sometimes the hardest problems have the simplest answers.:)
