    Hi all,

It's me again, ROFL I have a few questions regarding some settings in 7.1 and im not sure they really matter but I will ask anyways.

1 Mail Send Format. mine is set to send both HTML and plain text. will this matter depending on the reciever?

2 Scripts and Plugins for mail: Java scripts are enabled for navigator only at this time do I need for mail and news groups?

3 HTTP Networking: Useing HTTP 1.1 and have enable keep alive , should I use enable pipelineing?

4 How often do I need to clear cache ?

5 how do I get rid of the NS splash screen when opening NS?

6 How do I get NS set back to memory for quicker load ups?

Any help offerd is greatly appreciated

    Regards,

    FireDancer ;)

    FireDancer,

    1. Netiquette dictates that you not use HTML in email, and most users prefer to not receive HTML.

    2. No. Mail is more secure without JavaScript.

    3. Your choice. It is switched off by default because some servers and proxies have problems with pipelining, but it tremendously improves browsing performance.

    4. Every day

    5. Right click the Desktop Icon
    Select: Properties
    Click on Shortcut Tab
At the end of the target line, leaving one space, add -quiet
The line will be similar to this:
    "C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape\Netscp.exe" -quiet
See this list for more Command Line Options

    6. Quick Launch is enabled in
    Edit | Preferences | Advanced

    1. If you have selected "send the message in both plain text and html" you are unneccessarily sending large messages. Please choose either html or plain text, not both. Keep in mind, that when sending html mail that not everyone enjoys receiving html mail...
Personally, I would filter it straight to the trash without reading, but that is me, since my mail client cannot handle html. ;)
