setting usenet newsgroup addresses

    how to install usenet newsgroups in outlook express?

    In OE click on tools\accounts. Click add, then news and go through the wizard. You'll need to know the name of your news server. If you don't know it you should be able to get it from your ISP. If you need more help after setting it up post back.

    thanks for the reply.
    it is the addresses that i don't know how to obtain.
    i haven't a clue how to ask ISP?

    E-mail your ISP's technical support and ask whether they run a news server and, if they do, what the address is (or look on the homepage).

    If they don't run a server, you can subscribe to a reliable, free service here (CIS actually has a better feed than my ISP so that's the one that I use!).

    Outlook Express is not a good reader - I'd suggest that you grab a copy of either FreeAgent or Gravity (both of which are free).
