Using the wizard I set up a second email account for a family member. I sent an email from that account and it was received. That person sent one back and I cannot find it but they didn't get a non deliverable message. I sent one from my account to the new account and cannot find that either nor did I get a notification.

In Netscape, accounts show up in the hierarchy window underneath mail & newsgroups. In TB 1.0 the hierarchy starts with my account, not mail and newsgroups. When I open Tools > Account Settings both accounts appear in the window. The sent mail from the second account goes to the Local Folders (sent) but nothing shows up in the Local Folders inbox. I must have done something wrong. What i would like is for the incoming mail and outgoing mail to show up under the appropriate boxes for that account and have Tbird notify when an email arrives for that account.

Also, the help menu for Tbird 1.0 isn't very helpful. Is there a plan to have a more comprehensive help section (similar to Netscape)?

    Thanks.

In your account, view settings on this account.

Under server settings, select advanced in the window on the right.

You may then select where you want the downloaded mail to appear.

You have to do it for each account.

    Bill,

This part of the thread was removed when I split it to start a new thread for lgbest, re: Java. I wanted you to know, and so did he, that your info worked for him.

    Happy Holidays!
