Hello All, I'm trying to set up Microsoft server 2003 as a virtual machine and then connect to it using Microsoft XP Pro from a virtual pc 2007.

I am looking for some general pointers an how to do this.

Here's what I've done so far.

    1) I'm on my home network with a physical xp pro machine running Microsoft virtual pc 2007 which is host to the virtual xp pro machine.

    2) I have a second physical machine running Windows 7 Ultimate which is host to VM-Ware workstation with Microsoft Server 2003 installed.

    3) Both physical machines get there IP address from my home DHCP enabled router (all on the 192.168.1.0 network).

I have installed the following roles on 2003 virtual server, active directory, dns & dhcp.

I have created a domain called test.ie on virtual server and given the server a static ip address of 192.168.1.101. DNS had a ip address of 192.168.1.102.

How can I allow the virtual xp machine to connect to the virtual 2003 server and get an ip address?

How do I set up the network cards to communicate with said virtual machines?

Any general pointers, help would be appreciated.

    Many Thanks

Oh almost forgot, I've created a scope with a pool of 192.168.1.101 to 192.168.1.202 and have excluded 192.168.1.101 as this is the virtual server static ip address.
