    Basic specs:
    1.99 GHz, 2.47 GB RAM (1 1GB RAM + 1 256MB RAM), HDD 4.80 GB remaining (20GB total)

I want to set up pagefile in order to make my computer work faster. How should I set minimum or maximum pagefile size in order to make my computer work flawlessly?

My computer is set 1906 MB minimum and maximum size, but can i increase it?? Or select the option 'system managed size'? If I altered the size, will it cause system problems??
Should I create system restore point first before I execute this? Or should I disable pagefile??

Finally (whew), Should I include pagefile in another hard drive which is secondary drive (no operarting system inside) because by default it doesn't have pagefile.

I hope you all can answer my questions, because I don't have a clue on this Pagefile.

    Thanks! :)

    Hi scgoh123.

I would just set the pagefile to System Managed so that Windows will handle the pagefile size automatically.

If you make the size of the pagefile to small then yes it could potentially cause problems.

You can create a System Restore point if you wish but I would just set the pagefile to the System Managed size and let Windows manage it. You should never ever disable the pagefile. Doing so can cause unpredictable behavior in your Operating System and could lead to applications crashing if there is not enough available virtual memory to use.

You can if you want. I would recommend doing so.

For more information about the Windows Pagefile take a look here, Understanding the Windows Pagefile and Why You Shouldn't Disable It.

It slows down the computer during next reboot. Should I leave it like this??

Yes... System managed is the over all best option.
