    Hi,

On my machine (using Home Prem), the services.msc application in Extended mode only displays the blue background graphic. There is no listing of the services and thus no ability to manipulate them.

In the standard view/tab, all of these options are available.

This problem is similar to an issue I have with another application (InnerWorkings Developer Interface). I login, but all I see is some text (links) which don't actually do anything, and just some graphics. The same application on my laptop, which uses XP Pro, works like a charm and the links perform their programmed actions, and there are various menus/sidebars, all functional. An employee at InnerWorkings says the Developer Interface application uses a browser control (ActiveX I think he stated) based on the current version of IE which is installed, so I obviously think IE (which has given me all sorts of unlogged problems even in v8), is to blame.

I haven't got a screenshot as I am writing this thread from the laptop (where the InnerWorkings Developer Interface application I mention works perfectly well). I will post one up soon.

Any ideas what can cause this issue?? There was no warning/indication the moment this problem started, so I can't pin the cause on a Windows update or whatever else. There used to be exceptions in the InnerWorkings app in event logs, but I reinstalled IE, the exceptions/reported exceptions in logs went away.

EDIT: I tried allowing all ActiveX (enabling all security-risk settings in IE relating to downloadable content/ActiveX) but this didn't solve anything, changed settings back now.

    Thanks
