service pack 2 need answers

i want to install service pack 2 for xp home but im afraid it will delete my old files and make a big difference in my comp so i want to know if i can install it and what changes it will make and if it will remove my files i really dont wqant it to do that.

What files are you afraid about? Your data files? The answer to that would be no.

Yes it will make a big difference to your comp as you put it.

For the rest, I can only advise that you hold off on installing SP2 and peruse this site and educate yourself and ask some informed questions after you have made the effort to understand what SP2 is about. There are so many threads now about SP2 here on the XP Board. These threads have numerous links to Microsoft articles on SP2.
