Server2003 is not pinging at all

Server2003 is not pinging at all While booting its is showing error one or more services failed. Event ID 1053

It is not pinging the clients & the routers also


please help me out

Welcome to the BBS!

First I assume you have checked the NIC in Device Mgr and that it is not flagged in error.

That you have checked the diag lights on the Switch and Router to confirm you have a connection all the way thru.

And that if you have a NIC that has Diag lights on it that it does not have a "Red light "!

1. Check computer name confirm no special characters in name say like an underscore "_ ".

2. ConFirm DNS is set correctly.

3. In Services check that Server is running stop and restart

4. In Services check that RPC is running stop and restart

5. In Services check that RPC Locator will start if it is set to manual, is running stop and restart

6. Paste the line between the lines below to an open comand prompt.

A link to the results will appear on your desktop ipconfig.txt open it and paste contents back to here.

You may hide personal data by using an *. To censor an IP do not cover the 1st or last digits. Do it like this:

192.***.*.2
