    Hi all

My XP pro sp2 showed this on my event viewer:

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: Service Control Manager
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 7023
    Date: 01/09/2005
    Time: 15:55:06
    User: N/A
    Computer: IBMJENNY
    Description:
The Server service terminated with the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

I cannot find this in the microsoft web. What file is my XP trying to load for the server service to start? Anyone has any ideas?

    Thanks
    Eric

    In Control panel\Admin Tools\Services
Look at Services and see the config for Server service. many applications and other services depend upon it and you will get that event if one of those other services or apps attempts to load and is then halted because Server service is not running or set to disabled.
