My daughter has an Acer laptop running Windows 10. She uses the Chrome browser. A few hours ago she started being unable to get on the internet. She connects using our wireless network. She gets the "Server DNS address could not be found" message. Our phones, desktop, thermostat, etc. all are able to connect just fine. I Googled the error message and tried changing her DNS server settings. I tried unchecking obtain DNS server automatically and manually entered 8.8.8.8 as the preferred setting and 8.8.4.4 as the alternate. That helped for a few minutes, then her internet went out again and has stayed out.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Type "Troubleshoot" with the Start menu active, and click the Troubleshoot offered by Windows. Run the Internet Connections troubleshooter.

Her computer reconnected to the internet the next day and has worked fine ever since! I have no idea what fixed it. Thanks for the reply.
