I am thinking of buying Acronis True Image Server 8.0. It's kind of expensive even at 20% Off, so I'd like to know if any one here has anything good or bad to say about it. Is it worth the money or are there more affordable solutions?

I've seen tons of people recommending Acronis True Image for desktops. Not sure about the server version but would imagine it's good.

I’ve never used server products but I’ve tried imaging, backup and partitioning software from most manufactures. By far the best performing, with the most features, and usually the most competitive prices is Paragon. They are Microsoft Gold Certified.

Depends on what type of server you want to back up.

Looking at their website I didn't see anything about Exchange or SQL.

These type of data bases are constantly changing and in most cases cant be stopped.

The industry leader for Server backup is Veritas.

Veritas takes "snapshots" of open files.

    TrueImage 8.0 Server

The TrueImage Server is a good solution if you want backup whole system, not just the database or data folder. The only disadvantage is that it not support "soft RAID ".
