Please help me before I go insane!

I am trying to install the Print Management Console for Server 2003 R2

So far I have added the role of Print Server to the server.

Discovered that the reason Print Management Console wasn't an option in the Admin Tools because you have to install it from Disk 2.

Tried to install it and was told that the version of windows I was running wasnt the correct one for this update.

All I want is the PMC installed... some one please help!!!

In the Properties of My Computer it states that I am running Windows 2003 server SP2.

Which I guess means it is not R2.

Tried updating to R2 (how do you tell if the version your running is R2 or not?) but was told the version of Windows I was running is newer than the one on the disk.

I haven't used the Print Management Console as our Xerox printers give pretty good reporting and control themselves without having to use a server based api.

However, if you have a release two version of Windows 2003, when you go into "My Computer" properties, the first line of the System details will read:

    Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2

If you have the original version of 2003 the same line reads:

    Microsoft Windows Server 2003

SP 2 for 2003 has only recently come out and therefore an original version 2003 service packed to SP 2 will have newer files than R2 and therefore an update system may well report installed Windows as being newer.
