Well, I really messed up this time...:D

    I have 98SE and 700mhz athlon with a geforce 2 gts video
    card.

I downloaded a video card tweek program to try to get a little more out of my card. Anyway, the program caused my computer to freeze up when booting. I can only get into safe-mode.

I tried re-installing drivers, but the driver installation can't find a nvidia chipset. So, I removed it from device management, thinking
    windows would detect new hardware.

Well, windows detected new hardware, but drivers still fail to install...

Did I really mess it up this time or what!!...hehe

Edit: Actually, I just realized I'm not in safe-mode, just looks like it without a video card. Maybe I messed up my AGP slot?

Okay...don't ask me how, but somehow I got my video card working again.

I had my original video card driver Cd and installed it.

Whew!!...I was having these visions of reformatt, or MB agp corrupted, etc.

    So, DONT TOUCH ANYTHING!!...hehe

Well, I take it back...started freezing again. Anybody know of any utility that removes all traces of drivers?

Okay, I installed the latest drivers and I haven't frozen yet(knocking on wood).

I guess this is what happens when you're bored and you start
    trying to tweak your system...:D

    Breakout,

Sounds like you're having fun here! Have you tried rewinding your system to the day before you loaded the program to see if that helps? Just a thought. Otherwise, you may have to contact the company for manual removal instructions.

    LOL...:D

Oh yeah, having a grand'o time!

Actually, I did that. I made a back-up of my registry with Norton before I installed the program. But, when I restored the previous registry, it didn't help.

Is there anything else I should have backed-up?

So far, I've rebooted about ten times and no freezes, but I'm afraid to touch anything, now.

I found this program. It's called Total Uninstall (about the 10th one down). Looks pretty good...

    Breakout,

You backed up what I would have. I can understand about being afraid to touch things if they are working. Then again, what fun is that! Hopefully, the Total Uninstall program will do the trick for you.

Try to have a good Christmas!!
