   Frequently, during the past month or two, Windows XP says it has encountered a "serioius error" and on its own has shut down and re-started. On most of these occasions I have sent an error report, as requested. I run Diskeeper nightly. Could this be the cause of the serious errors? How can I stop these shut-downs?

   Check out Event Viewer for System/Application events flagged red at the time Windows shut down & restarted.- double click on an event to open and on the icon below the up/down arrows to copy to clipboard and paste in a post here.
