Serial numbers

Is there anyway to determine a program's serial number? For instance I can get a list of programs on my C drive by using Find .exe. Are the serial numbers listed some place for each program or do you have to get into the regestry? Any help would be appreciated.

yet. What I'm trying to do is make a list of the programs on my HD with the revision number and the serial number. I don't have it listed in my equipment but I'm trying to do this in WIN 2000. I just thought there might be an easy to access the serial numbers rather than try and look for the original packaging the programs came in. Also when you download programs.... don't they have serial numbers? Anyway that is what I'm trying to do. A while back I thought I found a way by using the registry but I never verified it.

Thanks Steve R Jones. The program is quite awesome. It doesn't give me the serial numbers but it does give me everything else. I have just checked out the Help about in the programs and yes this does give the serial numbers on most of the programs. I tried this earlier but the programs I looked at didn't have the serial numbers listed so I thought none of them did. I looked at about 10 and all but one or two had serial numbers.
