Anybody know how to fix this one?

I believe it's in the BIOS setup but can't figure it out. I've changed the options for the IRQ's but no matter which ones I choose I either get conflicts on boot or this error in the event viewer.

    Thanks
    Rockit

If it were me, I'd set things so I could boot without conflicts and ignore that particular warning message.

It is probably left over from some application you removed that didn't go quietly or cleanly. I'm betting on a bad API call rather than any real problem on the PC.

    Thanks Newt,
I disabled both serial ports in the BIOS and the error went away. Don't know if I need them at all at this time anyway cause everything seems to be working fine. ;)

    Thanks Again

Generally with 2K/XP/2K3 I think it works fine to disable serial ports in BIOS and just let the OS operate them.

In fact, I vaguely remember having to disable com ports in the BIOS on NT4 systems to get a piece of hardware to function since otherwise the OS and BIOS would fight for control and the dang thing wouldn't work.

I'm not hardware savvy enough to know why but our hardware tech suggested it and things did fine.
