    Hello,

I have a similar problem where Microsoft Outlook 2003 is always trying to send 2 messages. But they are not in the outbox.

I read the forum from Noctiagus where you or he found a solution to his problem as seen in the below site. However I am not sure what is stuck. I noticed this problem after I replyed to someone. I do not recall it being a Read Receipt that is stuck. Therefore as a beginner I am not sure if I should try the solution that the email below shows .

When I want to send out an email now , it goes to the outbox but will not be sent unless I close down outlook and when I reopen it , it goes and the 2 stuck sending emails remain always trying to be sent and never show up in the outbox.

I am using Microsoft Outlook 2003
    Windows XP
I also have Norton 360 installed.

Everything was working well untill I replyed to those 2 emails from people that I work with so there have been no new programs.

Hope you can make a suggestion to help me.

    Thank you

    Lawrence

Thanks for the reply, Zander. I tried the options you listed, but, unfortunately, it didn't work with Outlook 2007. However, I did finally find a solution on this page:

    http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/d...eadreceipt.htm

    It worked like a charm.

Thanks a lot for you help!

    Take care,
    Steve

    Hi PeteC,

The problem has been fixed thank you. What had happened was my internet provider had caused the problem and their were two errors showing up.One was error number was [553 From : address not verified]. We fixed this but the emails were still stuck. The second error was (0x8004210B) which they said might be related to Norton 360. I uninstalled Norton and and closed Microsoft Outlook. I then opened Microsoft Outlook again but the 2 stuck emails kept wanting to be sent out and still never in my outbox. I also tried to reinstall my Microsoft Outlook and it still was trying to send out 2 mails.I then gave up for the night and turned off my computer

Strangely the next day after turning my computer on and still no Norton on my computer, The sending had stoped. Everything was normal. I then took a chance on reinstalling Norton 360. and eveything is fine now.

    I cannot explain it.

    Thanks for asking.

    LR
