Any idea on when the technology to send a FAX via a Cell Phone will become available...IF it doesn't already exist?

There should be a way you can input your cell phone number in the modem dial up to send a fax to a land line phone.

Are you wanting to fax "to" your cell phone or "from" your cell phone?

If from your cell phone - I'm not sure where the cell phone number would come into play....

Can you give us an example of what you'd want to fax and why it'd be a better option then emailing?

I'm referring to sending a fax FROM a cell phone. It would be useful in situations where a FAX is required of a simple document. Some companies insist on FAXES since they are quicker than sorting through email, then having to print the email.

Mt friend Google helped me find:

Use Your Cell Phone as Scanner, Copier or Fax
    http://www.cellphonedigest.net/news/2007/07/use_your_cell_phone_as_scanner.php

Then there are items like that you might be able to find for your phone:
    Panasonic EB-RS300 Serial Data Cable.
Built by Panasonic specifically for the Panasonic EB-TX310/ 310/ EB-TX320/ 320 Cellular phone.
EB-RS300 data cable comes only with serial Data interface cable. Software is at Panasonic download!
Fax, Email, and many other applications are then possible through your PC computer. Fonesync software does not support these models for PIM contact synchronization.

eFax gives you a local fax number that lets you send and receive faxes by email.
