Not sure where to post this but has anyone else experienced the following problems and found the solutions:

CD-RW Drive(E) is not on Send To Menu when you try to send a file to a Direct Drive Formatted CD in "E" drive.

If you remove the CD, the CD-RW Drive(E) appears on the Send To Menu.

    Also:
If you go to Start, My Computer, and right click on CD-RW Drive and then Drag to Desktop to create Shortcut to CD-RW Drive. Then if you right click on this shortcut, select Properties and then click on the General Tab we get:

    “Problem with Shortcut
The Name E:\ specified in the target box is not valid. Make sure the Path and File Name are Correct.â€

Also, when you right click on CD-RW Drive icon on desktop DLA is Disabled (don’t know what DLA is).

We are running Windows XP Home Ed. and Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 Basic which we have updated to version 5.1.1.

    Thanks

    Hi jslow,

I don't know anything about Windows XP, as I run Windows 98SE, but this is how I created a shortcut in my SendTo Menu for my CD-ROM "E" drive:

    Open Windows Explorer
    Right click "E "
Choose to Make a DeskTop shortcut

Open Windows Explorer to the SendTo folder
Right click, and Drag the "E " DeskTop shortcut to the SendTo folder
    Select "Move Here "

My shortcut is "CD-ROM Disc" but it is only 1 KB and is a shortcut.

    HTH,

    Ramona :D
