Send messages to computer on the network

How do I send pop up messages to another computer on the network? Do I need any special software or do I use MS Dos Prompt? Will the recipient be able to reply?

At the same time, are there any suggestions on PC games which are made for playing on networks with another player? Any suggestions?

The 'net' command will allow you to send pop up messages to other computers on your network. It can be used as follows:



net send xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx type message here

where xxx. denotes the ip address or hostname you wish to send the message to.


This is a long way to send pop up messages, there is plenty of software out there that allows more convienient forms of message sending

 

Pretty weak support here, there is the "net send" command but it has limitations, but here is something that will help.

I have downloaded a program called Send Rec. Its simple and OK.

Now if someone could just help me with my ICS problem. I can connect but the web pages wont show up.
What's the deal?
