    Guessing here that disabling the service only disables error reporting for Windows itself and not for 3rd Party software.

    Hi Pete ... I have had xp pro since it came out and I never before notice any 3rd Party software errors being sent to microsoft before , Are you saying that this can happen ? Because the " Send error report " is going to Microsoft not any 3rd Party location , I thought the " Send error report " is only for windows and it get sent to Microsoft ?

    Control Panel->System icon->Advanced tab-> "Error Reporting" button.

    Follow Steve's procedure - you can choose between Windows and/or programs.

    I used Error Reporting a lot when beta testing the latest version of Sunbelt Counterspy - at their request. MS forwards the error reports - after all third party apps have to work with Windows :)

    According to Sunbelt they do and I guess this is one way in which the bugs are ironed out of beta software.
