To be exact, I add a .bmp using the button next to the smilies. The image appeared as a broken link in Netscape and Outlook Express. It not show up ,at all, in Thunderbird. If I right clicked in the box, and select to Save as, I get index.html, while other, visible image files, like .gif are fine.
If I send the same file with Thunderbird, I comes through as expected, and visible in all mail clients, including NS7.2.
I am using Zone Alarm6, similarly to another person who has experienced the same behavior. Could that be the problem, but why?
Anyone with NS7.2, and no ZA6.0?

    NS 7.2
    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040804 Netscape/7.2 (ax) Mnenhy/0.7.2.0

No problems inserting image via button next to smilies..

sends as expected. Not knowing what settings you have makes it very hard to trouble-shoot as I can not replicate the problem.

The problem was solved. And, I was noticed that there was something fishy, if I had used all my programs as a test. I did, eventually, no problem with Mozilla, or even another profile of NS7.2. As pointed out at another forum, the difference was that the offending program had an extra app.helper (classify those as Big Help?). It had a .bmp app helper. After removing it, all was well.
