Today, for the first time, I noticed that as soon as I loaded Moz1.7.12, I get a select User box, which says to select user to be entered in form. It lists a choice of one username of mine which is no longer existing, and my wife's who is not even set up in Mozilla. There is no form data saved. Where is it coming from? It was not there yesterday.

    Fulvio,
Is this AFTER 1.7.12 opens a profile, or before :(

It took me a lot longer to reply than expected, because I had decide to check my problem. The box comes up as I am loading the Tabs. I did not realize that I had 14 tabs opening, but when I noticed that some were slower than others, I removed the seven slowest, and there was no more Alert when I save the new, smaller, group, and emptied cache. I add one at a time all but one Tab, and still no problem.
Finally, I added the website of my ISP, and sure enough the Select User came up. Interestingly, I could just Cancel, but could not go into my Webmail. The choice was as I mentioned before, so I tried with another address on the website box, but all it accomplish was to add another username to the box.
I was able to remove the invalid username from the list by deleting the password. But, still not able to get into the webmail.
Then, (lightbulb lit up): when I removed what I called the invalid username, my primary account I had to remove all other accounts, first, and then select another username as primary. When the other accounts were added back, I had to come up with new eight characters passwords. And, I forgot that part. Thus all the confusion. After removing all passwords, and entering the new one, I was able to get into Webmail, and there was no more Select User box. Now, I will have to weed out my Tabs which really slow down my startup. I am using FF1.5, and I had 11 tabs. When I cut all the extra tabs, my startup time was reduced from 23 sec.to 7 sec.
I would have never gotten into this, had it not been for James' questioning the speed of loading Firefox.

You started off asking about Moz.1.7.12 - and now you are talking about FF 1.5........

I might have confused you by mentioning FF1.5. It was an aside from Now, I will have to weed out my Tabs which really slow down my startup. I am using FF1.5, and I had 11 tabs. When I cut all the extra tabs, my startup time was reduced from 23 sec.to 7 sec., in other words I learn that from my experience with Mozilla1.7.12, where I, also had the Select User issue. There was no such issue in FF1.5, nor 1.0.7.
