select printing

In netscape 4.7 choosing File\Print, in the dialog box that comes up the button for Select Printing is Grey. How do I turn it on and is this for word processors or web pages???

Have you designated a printer in:
Start|Settings|Control Panel|Printer?
If not, this is your problem.

Do you have the most current drivers for your printer, and have you done the "Communication" test which most printers include, which tests the communication between the PC and the Printer.

Have you tried clicking on "Print" ? Often a feature will be greyed simply because it has not been used.

The Print feature is to print web pages.

Yes I have done all the things you mention but thats not the problem.

I haven't forgotten you, but have had no luck trying to solve your inaccessible Print Button.

If your printer is set as default, has the most current driver, and that button is still greyed out, then I really can't find anything on this problem in the Netscape uFAQ or KB.

At this point, you might try reinstalling Communicator, and see if this could solve your problem. See these guidelines for a "Clean" Install.

Does this maybe help? I should add that I have never used Nutscrape and so the link provided is very probably totally irrelevant
