(After telling no end of people to BOOKMARK, BOOKMARK!, hehe) but carnt locate any of the temp cache files anywhere...any clues to where they are all hiding? Cheers Chris

You'll have to navigate to those files manually. Windows FIND feature cannot detect them although they are definitely there.

Navigate to the Windows\Temporary Internet Files folder and scroll the list. Easier yet, rather than scrolling that way, click the TYPE bar at the header and then scroll to the JPG's which will all be grouped with all similar graphics files and all nongraphic types will be listed elsewhere.

You may also want to look in the Windows\History folder for the sites you have recently visited.

Or, in Internet Explorer, Tools > Internet Options > Temporary Internet files > Settings > View Files. If you want to use Windows Explorer in NT, Win2K, and XP, the path to the TIF will vary depending on the user account. For example:

    C:\Documents and Settings\someuser\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

If I recall, the Local Settings folder is, by default, hidden.

    Thanks for adding that Kevin.

I am always amazed when trying to use the Windows FIND feature when it won't deliver up the goods properly. In a sensible world, you could do START > FIND Tempory Internet Files and it would show you right where they reside. Try that sometime for a good laugh.

At one time, I had Power Desk and it was able to work properly that way. Go figure.

    Tnx agn

Hi, Zephyr. Windows XP Search has a few "anomalies ", but a search for temporary internet files found the files/folders. It's been awhile since I've used a Win 9x OS, so I really don't recall if what you are experiencing is normal.
