SecurityCenter Event Viewer error

    hi Guys,

    anyone knows how to get rid of this error in the event viewer?

    jgmelki - Welcome to the Board :)

    Windows Security Center does not recognize all third party antivirus software and firewalls - that is probably the reason for that error message.

    As far as the antivirus is concerned go to Control Panel > Security Center and expand Virus Protection - odds are that it will say no av detected. There is a setting somewhere - can't say exactly where as my av is recognised on this PC - which gives a check box to say to the effect that you will monitor updates, etc to you av program. I seem to recall this with AVG Free on another PC.

    If you have a third party firewall the Windows firewall should be turned off to avoid conflicts (MS do not recommend running two firewalls).
