I am interested in opinions on W2k updates. I am running W2k pro with no SPs installed. I am running a firewall (zonealarm pro) and Norton Pro. Also I am backing up using Ghost.
I read about security updates, but I seem to be fully protected by not opening unsolicited attachments and obeying the dictates of Norton. Is there any way an attacker can get in otherwise? Where can I read more?
I am impressed by one person's saying, "Do no harm to a working system ". Also I have had experience such as installing SP-1 to Office 2K Pro, having it not work, and having to uninstall and re-install the basic. I am now distrustful of SPs.
    Opinions?
