Security Norton

    I have winxp Home Edition Norton Version 11.011.4
    Everytime I sign into my yahoo messenger I get a Security Alert saying

    Norton internet Worm Protection has detected a remote system ths attempting to acess on your computer and I have to select permit to allow the program to continu . Is there anyway to shut this off or should I leave it keep coming on?

    Hi Bob,

    This sounds like firewall rule making.

    It would help if you specified which Symantec program you're running. is this NIS or NPF and the year, for example NIS2005? Then someone that runs one of them can help you with determining what your response should be.

    all it say's in help about I have norton 2005 and the Version 11.0 11.04
