On my NTFC SP2 Xp machine, I denied to accessing "System Volume Information" folder.

To resolve it above, I right-click the "System Volume Information" and accessed the "Sharing and Security" option, then tried to find "Security" tab there to add the user (the current user, which is me) for accessing the "System Volume Information" folder.

Unfortunately, these is no "Security" tab on my "Sharing and Security" option here, only "General ", "Sharing" and "Customize" can be seen. I need help.

You are using Windows XP home. You have to boot in Safe mode & log on to the Administrator account to see the security tab.

Thanks Arie, I have resolved the issue by following your step.

However, I am really using a professional XP machine now.

I access the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\Paint\DesktopVersion, and it shows "Windows XP Professional Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158(Service Pack 2)" on my desktop.
