I run Nortons disk doctor and it indicates that security descriptors are not fixed. Do all they require and it does a chkdsk and "verifies" all is done but nothing is fixed. How do I find where the errors are and eliminate them or fix them. Thanks

Try going to a cmd prompt and running chkdsk /r on all the partitions/drives you have.

    security descriptors

Newt, Thanks for the help, but that goes thru the same motions and doesn't fix anything either. Incidently as you probably already know, it wouldn't/couldn't run it at that time and had to run on the next boot. When it does run it only say that it is doing chkdsk and no indication of /r of /f ?
