Hi, I just acquired a new computer at work and It was full of malware. Did the Malwarebytes, Dr Cureit and Norton. The only problem is that the Windows Security Center doesn't recognize that NIS is installed and show red for firewall and malware. Any suggestions??

Open Norton Internet Security and check if antimalware and firewall are running there. If Norton is running them, it has disabled Windows Defender and Windows Firewall. Just ignore them.

You know what....this computer never had any service packs installed :0 So I downloaded SP1 and now it shows that Norton is in control of all security processes. Thanks I guess I solved my own problem. Here is the microsoft link to the SP1 and SP2 for Vista. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935791
