Security Cd

    I received from Microsoft their WINDOWS SECURIY UPDATE CD dated February 2004. I have two computers. One with XP home, and the other with Win 98. I usually use Netscape 7.1 or 4.79. I have Explorer 5.5 also on my computer. I use a dial up service. Is this CD safe to install without messing something up and what does it do?

    This CD will scan your system to see if you have all the MS Security updates installed on your computer (the ones issued before 2/04). If they are not found you will be given the option to install them. This CD includes the updates for XP as well as other MS operating systems. It also includes a good firewall and antivirus program that you can use free for one year. As far as I know there are no hidden monsters in this one, just a lot of convenience.
