security and surfing speed

    I set the privacy setting to "medium high" as recommended in another thread. However, I have noticed that the surfing has been much slower at many websites.

    I suspect that other recommended security settings may have similar adverse effects on surfing. Can somebody care to explain ? :confused:

    It could be for all the cookies that are being blocked, as their implantation is attempted repeatedly.
    I use the Advanced privacy settings, where 1st party cookies are accepted, always allowing session cookies, and 3rd party cookies are all blocked. You might find this faster. Except for rare cases, I have no problems this way.
