There are many sites, when I access them I get either one of the below
two messages. When I am accessing my email files in Yahoo mail, I now get
these annoying pop up messages since using Windows XP Pro. I never got
them when I was using Windows Me.
Yahoo gives a selectable [standard or secure] option, but no matter which option
is selected, I always get either of the below messages: I can't seem to get an
answer to this anywhere. I have tried all the options supplied with the Windows
Help function. Any help will be appreciated.

These are normal, nothing is wrong. Just select not to show it to you again. You can check to see if a page is secure by looking for a padlock near the taskbar.

    Bill,

I'm just guessing here, but it's probably a setting somewhere in your Internet Options, If XP has such a thing. I don't know anything about XP, so it's a guess.

Look in Internet Options on the Advanced Tab, (on all tabs if necessary) if you have Internet Options, & this should be in there somewhere.

Warn If Forms Submitted is being Redirected.

If that's in there & it is checked, then that is probably why it is popping the warning up.

If you don't like it, just tell it not to show it again.

I run Win 98, & I get the same thing, but it is because I have it set to warn me that an e-mail, or a site is trying to re-direct a part of my browser without my knowledge. That gives me the opportunity to say, "Hey! No ya don't." I didn't ask to be redirected & I don't want it.

The sneaky, underhanded, browser redirect may not actually take you to the site, but it will at least redirect a part of your browser to that site, so that the site can put a cookie on your computer. Sometimes it will be a Tracking, or Snoop cookie. I just got through reading about some of that stuff awhile back.

msn.com redirects part of your browser every time you get on a site that uses their redirect. dbcentral being their main partner. There are lots of others that do it too.

    Deloris.
